climbing up bamboo

Yesterday my mum and dad went to cut some bamboo so my mum could make a tepee, so today me and my brother got a spare bit of bamboo and i held it up and my brother climbed up to the top of the three metre bit of bamboo.

Tomato Relish

A few days ago we had 3 bags full of tomato's so i made some tomato relish, it took me about 20 minutes to make, here is the recipe.

Ingredient's

1 tsp Chile flakes
1 onion finely sliced
5 big tomato's chopped into little squares
1 tsp thyme
100g sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 apple grated
1/2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds

Method

Heat the oil in a pot then add the onion, apple, cinnamon, mustard seeds, Chile flakes, and cook until the onion is a golden colour. Then add the tomato's, sugar and salt then cook for 5 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes then add the thyme.

Today i went to work with my dad in maroochydore. I had to help him lay mulch on all of the gardens and shovel much into the wheel barrow. After we had finished i was so tied.

Rainbow gathering in NSW

We went down to the wollemi national park for a Rainbow gathering. It was a really long drive. The drive was Nealy a sixteen hour drive so we had to wake up at three in the morning, but we got there in one day.

When we got to the car park we needed to walk about 2km before we got to where you could camp, when we got there we set up our camp next to the capertee river and I had something to eat.

The next day we went up to the breakfast circle.

After the breakfast circle me and my brother tea went to play with our friends.

A couple days later me, my brother and our friends decided to cook noddles. So we had to find a place to light a fire then light it. We decided on lighting a fire next to the capertee river. So i started to light the fire while my friends and brother got the noddles and stuff we needed.

After we had finished our food we all went for a swim with the lilos. The water in the creek was so cold but we still went in.

Two days later me my dad brother and sister went for a walk half way up one of the mountains.

Just below the rock we are sitting on in the picture there is a big cave.

About a week before the full moon the weather was so cold that there was sleet every were, and it was snowing about 20 minutes away from were we where camping, it was SO cold.

A couple days before the full moon my dad made two big swing for the kids. One of them you needed a harness but the other one was a smaller one that you just hang on to a knot or you could sit on the knot.

On the full moon there was a big feast and after there was lots of drumming and dancing. That night i stayed up until about 10:30pm. The next day i slept in and we started to pack up our camp so we could leave in the morning. On the way home we stopped at a friends house a stayed there the night, then the next day we were home.

On Thursday me and my friends went to the river for a swim, when we got there, we ran down and felt how worm it is but it wasn't worm it was freezing. After about 10 minutes we started to blow our blow up bout up, then when it was blown up me and my two friends got in it and paddled out really deep. Then we accidentally tipped the bout and got all wet but the we did it like 10 more times.

On Wednesday my dad had to go down and work in Maroochydore so i went to my grandparents house and i went shopping with my cousin, i bought a pair of shoes togs and a rashie. When my dad finished work we went for a bike ride to Mooloolaba then we went for a swim in the beach and on the way back we went to a cafe.

The other day when it was really hot we all went to the river.At the river there was a big water slide, to get to the water slide you had to walk up a path next to the water. I went on the slide about ten times and then i swam back to the sandy beach. After that i got the lilo and floated on it in the water.

Small schools athletics carnival

Today i went down to the Sunshine cost university to have the small schools athletics carnival, my first event was the 800m run, when you where watching other people do it, it didn't seem far but when it was my age group it was really far and tirering.

After that my age group went to the long jump pits, I'm not very good at long jump, the winner for long jump jumped 3.83m and me and my friend can only jump 3m. After that we had a break so we could get something to eat and drink, then we did discus and when that was finished we did high jump, the starting place was 1.05m and me and my friend can jump 1.04m, when all of the kids had finished that we went to the shot put i am a bit better at shot put but i still came Seventh.

we had a break and did the 200m sprint and the 100m sprint in the 100m sprint i came fourth. as soon as they were finished we got into teams off our age group and did relays for a while, then the athletics carnival was finished and we could go home and relax.

School camp

On Sunday the 8th of august me and my school went to the Nambour train station and got on the train to catch it to Roma street Brisbane, after that we walked to the YHA to unpack our stuff, about one hour later we all split up into groups and walked to the Museum,art gallery or the gallery of modern arts. we walked around them for about 2 hours then we walked through the botanical gardens and over the Brisbane river. When we got back to the YHA we had pizza for dinner.

The next day we had our breakfast and walked to the train station to catch the train to the ekka, that day we walked around in our little groups.The bad thing was that we weren't aloud to go on any rides. My group went to the show bags first and we brought a lollies show bag, after that we walked around for the rest of the day and brought food and played games. After the ekka we caught the train back to the YHA and had dinner.

The next day we walked to the park and had a BBQ and then caught the train to the Nambour train station and went home.

Lime and coconut tart

Yesterday i made a lime and coconut tart, it was so nice and it was even nicer with cream on top.

Ingredients

Pastry
*1 cup plain flour
*100g butter, chopped
*1 tbsp icing sugar
*2 tbsp chilled water

filling
*1/2 cup coconut milk
*3 eggs
*1 cup NESTLE sweetened Condense milk
*1/2 cup lime juice and 1 tbsp of lime rind
*3 tbsp coconut

Pastry Method
1.preheat oven to 200c
2.place flour,butter and icing sugar in food processor, process until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add chilled water need until mixture forms dough.
3.roll out dough on lightly floured surface and press into a 24cm pan. Bake 15 minutes until golden, remove from oven, reduce oven to 160c.

filling Method
1.combine coconut milk with eggs,NESTLE sweetened Condense milk,coconut,lime juice and lime rind. Beat until mixture is smooth.
2.pour lime mixture into pastry case.Bake 20 minutes or until just set,cool. if wanted top with lime strips and cream.

This year i have decided to go to kenilworth school, one of the best things about it is that we are doing swimming on Thursdays, we are starting this Thursday and it will be good on hot days and there is tuck shop on Monday's and Thursday. We get homework every Monday and we have to hand it in on Fridays. and i have lots of friends there which is always good, but i have to wake up at 6.00pm every morning.

Australia day

on Australia day i went rock climbing with my dad and younger brother, i climbed about four different climbs and my dad and his friend learned how to lead climb, then we went to the noosa main beach, there where so many people there. after we go home we went to the kenilworth pub and had lunch.

On Christmas i went to my aunty's house and we had a big Christmas party with my family, i got i bike,slip on shoes, lollies,5 pears of ear rings,bracelet,necklace,anklets,thongs,volley's,two dresses,three pears of Minny shorts,bangles,a CD holder,books and i got lots of other stuff, after we had opened all our presents we had lunch, then we had desert the desert was so nice. The next day on boxing day my grandparent's came over and we had lunch with them and got lots more presents.

one night i made a cake called yummy gummy snaky cakey this is the recipe for it.

what you need
bowl
spoon
1/3 of a cup
1/2 a cup
knife
pan

Ingredients
1/2 a cup of butter
1/3 of a cup of brown sugar
1/3 of a cup of white sugar
1/3 of a cup of raw sugar
11/2 cups of chopped up snakes
1 cup of self raising flour
1 tea spoon of vanilla
1/2 a cup of milk

Icing
1 cup of icing sugar
2 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon of water

Method
1. grease the tray and then heat up the oven
2. put all of the sugar in a big bowl and mix in the butter and vanilla
3. add the flour and milk
4. chop up the snakes leave at least 3 snakes
5. then put in the oven for about 40 minutes
6. then when it is cooking put all of the ingredients for the icing in a bowl and mix
7. let the cake for 10 minutes then spread on the icing and chop the left over snakes into three bits then put them on the cake
8. EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

storms birthday

it was my cousin birthday on Thursday, but on Saturday me her and two of her other Friends came over and we went to the plaza we went and sour up in 3d we got two large popcorn's and for medium frozen coca cola it was a really good move after we watched the move we had an 11/2 hours to walk around the plaza so we went on the paddle bouts for about 10Min's. After we went on the paddle bouts we just walked around.

On the holiday when we got there we cheked in to our room, and we Unpacked about 1 hour then dad told us that there was a swimming pool, spa, sauna and a games room so we all went down to the pool it was so cold so we went in the spa,

i was maybe going to go for a swim but the water was so cold, it was to cold to even in up to your nees. when we got back to our room we went fora swim in the swimming pool, it was nice to have a swim every morning and night. after we went for a swim we me dad and my brothers sister and mum went to the tree top walk,

the tower on the tree top walk is about 25m of the ground.

after we climbed up the tower we went to the botanical gardens there where so Meany flowers, it was really pretty, why mum and dad where looking around we where spying on them.

then we went back to our room, we had afternoon tea, we had donuts and a Milo.

about two hours later we had dinner then the next morning we started to pack up, because we had to be out of the room by ten in the morning.

our chicken's stooped laying for about 2 month, and the other day me and mum where digging up a garden bed and there was loots of comfre in it and she was telling me about that comfre is a good medicine for chocks so we gave them some of it. And the next day we went up to feed them and there was a egg. then about three days after that we got 12 eggs in one day but we dont ous them all so me and my brother have a chiken buisnis we sell 1/2 dosen of eggs for $3.00 and 1 dosen for $5.00 so far we have mad about $100 but we need to bye chiken food with some of the money and with the rest we get to keep.

1 can of condensed milk
2 packs of plan sweet biscuits
1 cup of butter
1/2 a cup of coconut

Icing
half a lemon

1. put biscuits in a blender
2. melt the butter
3. put biscuits in a bowl and add the butter
coconut and condensed milk
4. push down with a spoon and let set in fridge
for about 1 hour

A big day out

The other day we went to see dragon boat races because my grandad went
in one. After we went there we went to see Storm. She ended up staying at our

Pirates
Storme: Once upon a time in a dip blue sea in the middle of no where, way out there was a pirate ship, it was known as the great Dane and the pirate gang was know as the buccaneers.

Rain- On an island near the pirate ship there was a house on this island in the house lived a little girl named poppy. She had a dog called peanut it was a brown and whit dog it was the cutest dog in the world.

Storme-Peanut wasn’t really cute only around people. He was part of the pirate gang and he was the captain!. He ordered the other pirates to do every thing he wanted done they were like his slave.

THEN...

Rain: Poppy thought peanut was her dog but she really belonged to the buccaneers, one day poppy woke up and peanut hade ran away she ran as fast as she could to her mah and pars room mum dad peanut is gone I woke up this morning she wasn’t in my bedroom.
Poppy’s mum and dad went down to the kitchen and there was a note on the note it said

Buccaneers: Dear Poppy we took the dog because he is ours we will be sailing to the seven seas from the buccaneers!

‘Poppy dear are you ok?’ mah said worriedly. ‘I think so mah’. 4 hours later it was Poppies bedtime but Poppy just couldn’t get to sleep. When she did she had a dream about peanut in the dream Peanut was sailing the 7 seas and ordering the pirates around. Poppy woke up from the dream wondering what was going on and then she relised it was only a dream. Ever since that very day poppy hasn't had a good sleep.

it was raining at our house it was also flooding we decided to make a dame made out of rocks, then my cousin said lets move the top down a bit then it will look more like a love heart. My mum said you could fell the love heart with flowers so we spent about half an hour finding flowers and we filled it up with them.

we went to whit water world the other day we had so mouth fun my favorite is the green room,

there was a Nickelodeon section, i liked he big bucket that fell on you when it was about to full all of the kids ran under it.there was a big swimming pool it was cooled the wave pool there was tier tubs you could sit in when the Waves started. when a big siren blow all of the waves stopped then when it blow agen all of the waves started.

A Christmas story for people having a bad day

When four of Santa’s elves got sick the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones and Santa began to feel the pre-Christmas pressure. Then Mrs Claus told Santa her mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found three of them where about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where. Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked. The toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.

Frustrated, Santa went into the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of Rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drank all the cider and hidden the rum. In his frustration he accidentally dropped the cider jug and it broke into hundreds of little pieces of glass all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found that mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.

Just then the doorbell rang. And an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree. The angel said very cheerfully, “Merry Christmas Santa. Isn’t it a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?”

And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

½ cup of golden syrup

Method
1. Put butter and sugar into
A bowl beat with egg beaters
Up until creme
2. Add Mash bananas and eggs
One at a time stir
3. Stir in flour
4. Heat oven to 170°C for 40-50 mins
5. Put syrup on top

on my birhtday, i went to aussie world it was so much fun!.
My Favourite ride was the wild mouse. The wild mouse is a roller-coaster.
We had $20 worth of chips for lunch and it was huge! we couldn't even get half way threw it!.
9 people came to my party they were all my family.

1 year ago we had a dog its name was Trixie. we got her for free. Trixie always bit when she was a puppy but as soon as she stopped biting she got runover. So 4 days later we got a dog and
named it Zena. Zena has alredy stopped biting us. She is a good dog.

i made pancakes with a cooked egg, golden syrup, tomato sauce and mushrooms on top.
it might sound yuk but it is yum.

This is how you make it.

200g dark chocolate

1/4 cup thickened cream

Melt Chocolate and cream together. Cool in fridge until it's thick enough to roll into balls. Roll teaspoons of mixture into balls and put back into fridge.
Melt another 200g of cocolate and roll balls in to coat. Finally roll balls in cocoa powder.
Eat...Yum
